Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother, Betty Jean (Harvey) Anderson passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on November 17, 2018 at the age of 86 of natural causes. Betty was born on the Monongahela River on a houseboat in Maysville, West Virginia on December 31, 1931. Raised on a ranch in Ekalaka, Montana by her parents Frank and Nancy Jane Stannard, Betty enjoyed horseback riding, socializing with friends, and swimming.
Betty met her husband Edward “Pete” Anderson in Laurel, Montana, and they were married on December 31, 1949. Together they raised nine children. Throughout their 42 years of marriage, they enjoyed dancing, picnicking with their children, and hosting large gatherings for family and friends. Betty’s phenomenal cooking and baking was done from scratch with a pinch of this and pinch of that. Later in life, Betty met the second love of her life William “Bill” Johnson. The two enjoyed 24 years of fishing, camping, gambling, and traveling to visit family and friends. Her greatest pride was watching her grandkids participate in sporting events. Betty was the heart of her family and the life of the party.

I’m so sorry to here of your Moms passing, my heart goes out to you all. Although I haven’t seen you in years, I’ll never forget you, and the times our families got together out at the farm house to play and eat together.
