On Thursday, January 2nd Carl Orin Moody passed away from complications of a long term illness at his home in Martinsdale, Montana. Carl was 75 years old.
Carl Moody was born in Loudon, New Hampshire on March 18th, 1938. He was the younger of the two children, of Orin and Elsie Moody.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960, while in the service he met Audrey Jean Barrett. They were married July 30th 1959.
Carl and Audrey had four children. Son, Brian (Debra) Moody, Roundup, Montana, son, Gary Moody, Rathdrum, Idaho, daughter, Brenda (Michael) Lawrence, Post Falls, Idaho, and daughter, Lynne (David) Hamilton, Martinsdale, Montana.
Carl worked most of his life as a truck driver for Getter Trucking of Roundup Montana, coast to coast trucking with Prime Inc. and Yellowstone Trucking of Coeur d’ Alene Idaho. He retired in 2000 and enjoyed such hobbies as fishing, hunting, and belonged to GPA, Gold Prospectors of America, gold prospecting in Arizona and Montana.
Carl is preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Calkins, of Concord New Hampshire.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
