Clara Jean (Sangrey) Boster, age 89, of Townsend, MT, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 17th, surrounded by her loving family.
Clara was born January 26, 1935, to John and Mary (Courchane) Sangrey on the Rocky Boy Reservation, Box Elder, MT. Clara was the fifth of seven children.
She spent her early childhood at Rocky Boy, moving to Townsend as a teenager where she met Maurice Adair “Guz” Boster. They were married in November of 1950 in Townsend, MT. This union was blessed with two children; John and Vince.
Clara was a woman of many talents. She was a longtime grocery clerk, a hairdresser, and a homemaker following a childhood of hard work with her parents and siblings.
When Clara was not busy with her family and work, she enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing guitar. She also enjoyed a good game of pinochle, going to the casino, playing bingo, and teaching her grandchildren to play keno. Clara was an avid baker-especially cinnamon rolls, apple bars, and lemon pie. She passed these culinary skills onto both of her sons.
Clara was a longtime member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and Rebekah Lodge. She had a strong faith throughout her life, and her family finds comfort knowing she is with our heavenly Father.
Clara will be dearly missed by her son, Vince; grandchildren, Anissa Skidmore of Spokane, WA; Jesse (Mariah) Boster of Trinidad, NM; Karee (Roger Reiman) Eichinger of Townsend, MT; sister, KariLee (David) Olson of Lima, MT; great-grandchildren, Dylan (Ashley) Boster of Townsend, MT; Baylee (Devin Schipman) Boster of Townsend, MT; Peyton Vogl of Dillon, MT; Ainsley Skidmore of Spokane, WA; Kennedy Vogl of Townsend, MT; Cole Skidmore of Spokane, WA; Rowan & Hayes Eichinger of Townsend, MT; Emmett & Jude Boster of Trinidad, NM; 3 great-great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews, including Steve Skaro of Sebeka, MN. Clara is also survived by “family of the heart” Kristi (Boster) Gersch (Larry) of Townsend, MT; Linda White of Townsend, MT, and her pinochle crew at the Senior Center.
