On the afternoon of June 15th, 2014 our beloved Conne passed away in her home in Townsend, MT.
Conne was born in Weiser, ID on May 24th, 1974 to Roy Howard and Becky Howard (McDaniel) Conne grew up in Townsend, MT where she attended elementary and middle school and went on to attend Broadwater High School, where she graduated in 1991.
Conne was a beautiful person inside and out, with a heart of gold, and an infectious smile that could light up the room. She was always a happy, cheerful, and positive person that always cared about other people more than herself. Conne had the biggest heart of anyone, she cared for everyone she came in contact with and touched the hearts of many. She had the most distinctive laugh, one that could make even the unhappiest people giggle.
Conne had an incredible knack for words and vocabulary, which always came in handy when doing her crossword puzzles and playing Words With Friends. Conne loved fishing and camping with her husband and going for boating trips. She had a strong love for her house plants, and puppies.
Conne loved her job as a Para Professional at the Townsend School district where she worked for over 10 years and grew close bonds to her coworkers and the children she worked with. Conne loved being surrounded by her children and loved ones. She also loved her community.
Conne is preceded in death by her mother Becky Sue Howard and her grandmother Grace Frances McDaniel. She is survived by her husband, Gary Schnortz; daughter, Trisha Wagner; son, Christopher Wagner; son, Jesse Wagner; stepdaughter, Stephanie Schnortz; stepdaughter, Aimee Schnortz; stepson, Taylor Schnortz; father, Roy Howard; grandson, Maxwell Iver Wagner; granddaughter, Kaylee Ann Stanfield

Conne was a sweetheart all of her life. Her smile did light up the room, no matter what the circumstances. She was, IS loved by all she came in contact with–she knew no strangers–all were friends. Her light will be shining brightly always in the sky now–but she is now with the Angels forever keeping watch on her family, her children and grandchild-her Dad who will keep a candle burning in the window for his beloved daughter, as I do for my darling son. God Bless you all, and keep you safe —

We are so sorry for your tragic loss. Conne has always been a great friend to our daughter and was always welcome in our house. She had such a sweet spirit. I always loved her smile–it lit up her whole face. We will miss seeing her around, and I’m sure she will be greatly missed at school. We loved her!

I am so saddened by this lost. Since my room is close to the Middle School, Connie and I would run into each other (sometimes, literally, since we are always in a hurry to get somewhere) in the hallway. She would always have something funny or uplifting to say. I would end up laughing hysterically. It won’t be the same next year without her. Prayers to her family and friends.

My heart grieves with you all in the loss of one sweet little saint, ( connemara ) who entered into the arms of Jesus & now & forever no more tears or sorrow or suffering of any kind. While we grieve her loss & will miss her deeply, heaven rejoices as they all welcome her home. I remember her gramma Schnablegger sharing her excitement with me that Conne had excepted the Lord & was baptized, ( Trisha was just a tiny baby ) I can only imagine the sweet little hugs her gramma Schnablegger is showering her with. Roy, Gary,Trisha, Christopher, & Jesse & all other family, you will be in our prayers . Love to you all. Pam

My heart goes out to Conne’s family. I am so saddened by Conne’s passing. My first year in Townsend teaching in the middle school Conne was one of my paras. She was awesome with students and was always a ray of sunshine wherever she went. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Conne was such a treasure, not only as a friend, a co-worker but as an asset to our community. I treasure her smile and cute little giggle! Kristin and I remembered lots of their childhoods memories, from grade school to graduation plus my memories from school. Sadness in her passing but great joy from having Conne in our lives.

I am sorry for your loss. The passing of a loved one can be a very troubling time to endure. Perhaps you can take comfort in knowing that you have the chance to see Conne again. The Bible states at John 5:28, 29, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus] voice and come out.” Please find hope in these words.
