Darren Lee Buffington, age 57, of Townsend, MT, passed away on November 20, 2025.
Darren was born on May 15, 1968 in Pendleton, Oregon to his parents Tom and Karen Buffington.
Darren graduated high school from Pilot Rock, Oregon. His primary occupation was a diesel mechanic.
Darren married Anissa Collins on May 27, 1989 in Townsend, MT. They welcomed three children together. He loved fishing, hunting, shooting and reloading.
Darren is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Karen Buffington. Also, his grandparents Helena and Emory Kruse.
Surviving Darren is his wife Anissa Buffington; his brother Brent (Rose) Buffington; sister Misty (Dave) Wadley; daughters Heather (Josh) Peters and Denise Buffington; a son Randal (Kara) Buffington; granddaughters Amythyst, Hunter and Taylor Peters; grandson Triston Peters; mother-in-law Elsie Stroh, along with many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Darren will be held at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 212 Broadway, Townsend, MT 59644, on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Following the visitation, burial will take place at Deep Creek Cemetery, 50 Deep Creek Cemetery Road, Townsend, MT 59644. A Celebration of Darren’s Life will begin at 1pm at the Fish Tale Tavern, 209 Broadway, Townsend, MT 59644. Condolences can be shared at www.stevensonwilke.com.
