Darwin was a good friend. We met in Pierre, SD at a prairie grouse conference. Later we worked together for Ecological Consulting Service in SE MT, then together at Western Energy Coal Co where we worked to reclaim the land together. We fished and hunted together and also had a few beers together. He was sharp as a tack. He will be missed.
Dina (Sell) Waddell says
Darwin’s go with the flow, “it is what it is” attitude is what led our mom to nickname him “Bump”. His calm outlook hid what a smart and thoughtful person he was. I believe few knew that he was quite artistic when he was young but never pursued it. A good human gone too soon. Miss you and love you bro.
Maggie Sell says
I met Darwin in 1969 prior to Daryl and I getting married in 1970(found and posted a couple of wedding photos). Always a quiet sort of guy, which continued into recent years. Loved outdoorsy activities all the years I knew him, but fishing seemed to draw him to the lake waters as often as possible. Will fondly recall our family visits to E. Lansing and Texas, a couple of family cruises, as well as his Michigan visits. Rest in peace, Dar.

Remembering you my brother in law, today. I know that you would want to know, the ones you loved are holding up and missing you more each day. We think of you often we go through our photo albums and see your smile in so many family events over the last 25 yrs. Im so glad you were free to be a part of our lives and family, no one can ever get back time they lose, so we will always cherish the time we had with you Darwin. May you rest in peace and know you were loved by many. ❤ Your Sister, Jill
