Florence was born on the outskirts of White Sulphur Springs to Roy “Blackie” and Cora Anthony Walter on December 5, 1923 and lived most of her life in Meagher County.
She married Tex Sage and they had three children. He died in an accident when the children were young.
Florence married again (Claude “Shum” Wisdom) and they raised Florence’s children together.
Florence loved her family and friends. She welcomed everyone that came to her door. She loved the ranch life, hunting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by both her husbands, Tex Sage and Shum Wisdom; her parents; four brothers, Tom, Lester, Joe and Clinton Walter; one sister, Helen Jordan; a brother-in-law, Ralph Jordan and a sister-in-law, Lena Walter. She will be greatly missed by her family: her children, Kenneth (Brenda) Sage of Alamogordo, New Mexico; Dan (Amy) Tousley of White Sulphur Springs; Sharyn Sage of Las Vegas, Nevada and Sandi Sage of White Sulphur Springs; six grandkids: Dwight (Dawn) Sage of Lees Summit, Missouri; Dan (Amy) Tousley of White Sulphur Springs; Christine (Joe) Witt of Beloit, Kansas; Kevin (Sheena Fe) Sage of Olathe, Kansas: Shumanda (Randy) Sentors of Beloit, Kansas and Wellington (Megan) Sage of Junction City, Kansas; 14 great grandchildren, Jacinda (Jake) Kusek; Sam-antha Tousley; Royale Tousley; Cavin Tousley; Elizabeth Witt; Victoria Witt; Gian Bacaron; EJ Sage and Brittany Moore and her only great, great granddaughter, Hunter Kusek plus many, many nieces and nephews.
