Glen E. Zehntner, a local rancher, passed away April 23, 2018.
Glen, a lifetime resident of Meagher County, was born January 12, 1929, to Dovie and Reinhart Zehntner. He graduated from the local high School, served two years in the U.S. Army and spent the rest of his life here. While in the Army, he spent time in Germany traveling with the Military Choir, singing for the Officers and their wives, as well as singing Midnight Mass.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; two babies; his brothers, Harold, Marvin, and Melvin; and his sister, Ethel Musgrove. He is survived by his wife, Geri; sons, James āJā (Bev) and Alan (Marilyn) Zehntner; and a daughter, Kay (Mark) Barnes; five grandsons, Bryan, Ben, Jake, Charles Zehntner, and Marcus Barnes; as well as his sister, Julia Short; brothers, Howard and Ducky Zehntner; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, April, 30, 2018 at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church, 407 2nd Ave. SE, White Sulphur Springs. Burial with Military Honors will follow the Mass at the Mayn Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs with a reception to follow the burial at the Senior Center in White Sulphur.
