Hilda ‘Tilly’ Margaret Human, age 77, of Townsend, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ’s arms on October 19th, 2015 of natural causes in Helena at the Rosetta Assisted Living Facility surrounded by good friends.
Tilly was born September 9th, 1938 in Wendover, England. She was the daughter of Phoebe and Horace Champion. Tilly met and married Brian Lucas on January 7, 1956 and together they had six children, Dean, Gary, David, Elaine, Susan, and Annette. Brian passed away in October of 1994. She continued to spend time with her children, then started working for the England Air Lines and traveled a lot, she loved the adventures.
A friend of Tilly’s showed her an ad in a magazine about a gentleman in the United States looking for a life partner. Tilly came to Townsend, MT and met Terry Human and they were married in June of 2000. Terry and Tilly enjoyed horseback riding, traveling, their animals, and the Montana outdoors. She was a big hearted person, loved her animals and counted her friends as a blessing. Everyone that knew her loved her. She always saw the good in people.
Tilly was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David of England; her husband’s Brian Lucas and Terry Human. She is survived by her children, Dean, Gary, Elaine, Susan, and Annette all of England. Tilly is also survived by many friends.
A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 212 Broadway, Townsend. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 26th, 2015 at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, Townsend, with a reception to follow the service at the American Legion Post #42, 211 Broadway, Townsend. Tilly would want her friends to come and share stories and a memory of her. Although I only talked with her a few times she remembered my name and loved to talk about her life, husbands, children and adventures. Her eyes sparkled when she talked of memories.
