Jason Dean Roberts, 44, passed away on July 29, 2018 at St Pete’s Health in Helena, MT.
Jason was born in Townsend, MT on January 22, 1974. He grew up in Radersburg and Townsend graduating from Broadwater County High School May of 1992. He enjoyed football, basketball, playing RIFTS with his friends, and long quiet drives to no particular place just because. He loved spending time with family and friends whether is as something big like his annual presence at rodeo weekend, more quiet informal BBQ and especially hanging out with Ward on what was lovingly teased about being Date night.
Jason married Jeanette Ann Saulsberry on November 20, 1992 in Coeur d’Alene, ID. While residing in Townsend, Jason was employed at Deep Creek Bar & Restaurant, the Fireside, R-Y Timber and American Chemet Corp. They raised 3 children into amazing, loving adults.
Jason was proceeded in death by his mom, Barbara Damon Roberts, honorary dad, Louis “Butch” Schneider. Grandmothers Ann Roberts and Eileen “Sis” Sturdevant. Grandfathers Art Roberts, Ernest Ballinger and Robert “Bud” Sturdevant. Uncle Ernest “Butch” Ballinger. Aunt Connie Roberts Ruff. In-laws Demetria Saulsberry, Billy Saulsberry and Michael Scow.
Jason is survived by his wife, Jeanette Roberts of Townsend, MT. Children Kristeena Hoppe (Dan) of Helena, MT, Alexander Roberts (Sarah) stationed at Beale AFB, and Jeneth Roberts (Jennifer) of Townsend, MT. Grandchildern Richter, Kadence, Cameron, Alexis, Darrian and Alaynee. Father Dennis Roberts of Radersburg, MT. Mother Elaine Hernandez of Momeyer, NC. Brother Michael Gill (Kasei) of Momeyer, NC. Neices Tori, Lily and nephew Gabe. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends and children & grandchildren that he adopted as ours.
Cremation has taken place per Jason’s wishes. Graveside will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at Deep Creek Cemetery with a Celebration of Life luncheon following at the Senior Center from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Arrangements are being handled by Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home.
A very special thank you to Dr. Weiner, all the Cancer Treatment Center nurses and staff and the Oncology floor nurses for all of their kindness and amazing care of Jason and all of us.

I am so sorry to hear of Jason’s passing. When Barb was alive, Jason was all she ever talked about. She was so proud of him. I’m sure she was standing at the gates of heaven and greeted him with open arms and a great big hug.
