Jean Zehntner, age 92, of White Sulphur Springs

Nora Jean (Jean) Zehntner was born in Butte, MT. She died of natural causes at Mountain View Nursing Home in White Sulphur Springs November 8, 2017.

Jean was born to Maude Arthur Niles and Fredrick Niles. She grew up in Two Dot on the family ranch with her grandparents (the Arthurs) and her mother and step-father Maude and Pete McCabe.  She went to school in Two Dot and in Harlowton.  She continued on to Business School in Billings and Helena and then came to White Sulphur Springs where she met Norman (Ducky) Zehntner.

They were married December 10, 1950. Jean and Ducky were married sixty-six years and would have celebrated their 67^th anniversary on December 10, of this year.

They had five children; Debbie & David- the twins, then Ron, John and Robin.   She devoted her life to her children, grand-children and great grand-children! She also spent a lot of time babysitting other children and had a special love for all her animals especially her cat.  Reggie

Jean loved spending evenings four-wheeling with her husband Ducky, raising her flowers and even did a little deer hunting. In the early years she and Ducky were wonderful dancers. Jean especially liked swimming, picking wild flowers, and just being outdoors. She lead a pretty simple but fulfilling life!

Jean is survived by her daughter Debbie Hunt (John) and sons Ron Zehntner (Becky) and John Zehntner (Becky), six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her sons David and Robin Zehntner and Grandson Cade Hunt.

A viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday November 10, 2017 at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 103 E. Garfield St., White Sulphur Springs. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday November 11, 2017 at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow the service at the Mayn Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow the graveside service at the Senior Center. Please see below to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Jean.
