Jeannie Christiansen passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2016. She was 75 years old.
Jeannie was born Gloria Jean Carroll on February 20, 1941 in Bozeman, MT, the third child of Ralph and Mary Carroll. She had two older brothers, Ross and Loy, and she grew up in Trident MT.
Jeannie married Robert Webster Myers May 31, 1958 at Soldiers Chapel in Big Sky,
- They had 3 children; son Marlin in 1959, son Clay in 1960, and daughter Kelly, in 1964. Her first husband, Robert, preceded her in death in 1972.
On April 3, 1982, Jeannie married Glen R Christiansen and they lived in Manhattan, Townsend and wintered for many years in Arizona. They were married 34 years.
Her family was the most important part of her life and she worked hard to support them. She held many positions in various jobs. She put her heart into every job and was a tremendous asset to all who had the privilege to work with her.
Jeannie enjoyed all things outdoors including fishing, hunting, gardening and yardwork. She valued all life. Her energy and tenacity were matched only by her compassion and love. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and we have been made better people by knowing her and by her example of living.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents and older brother Ross.
She is survived by husband Glen Christiansen, brother Loy (Carol) Carroll, sister-in-law Scrub (Wynona) Carroll, son Marlin L Myers and his daughter Brandi Sue, son Clay (Jeannie) Myers and his children Landra, Cole and Shawna, daughter Kelly (Mark) Loggan and her son Christopher (Jade) Allen (children Cayde and Jayce), step-children Mark (Tina) Christiansen, Ann (Dave) White, and Kim (Matt) Gilman, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and step-grand and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and private services will be held at a later date.
