John Adair Boster
Surrounded by his loving family, John went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. John was 63 years old.
John was born on August 10, 1951, in Townsend, MT, to Clara Jean Sangrey and Maurice Adair Boster. He was joined 15 years later by his only brother; Vince Lyle Boster.
As a young child, John was never without his cowboy hat and his six-shooter, and always had a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors; especially at the family cabin up Duck Creek.
John graduated from Broadwater County High School in 1969. After graduation, John worked at the Co-op in Townsend, and then went to work with his father, Maurice, where he learned carpentry. John also worked at Townsend Lumber Construction for a decade before starting his own construction business. During this time, he was fortunate to work with his dear friend, Jim Wilson. John retired in 2013.
In 1971, John married Bryl Jane (Beyers) and had one daughter; Anissa Marie. In 1980, John married Kristi Kay (Doggett) and adopted his son and daughter; Jesse Chad and Karee Renae. In 2004, John married Juanita Fay (Plymale) and gained two more sons; Rob Darell and James Allen.
John loved the outdoors. He taught all of his children how to hunt, fish, and appreciate nature at the family cabin. John was an avid NASCAR fan; he even traveled to Las Vegas to attend a race. John enjoyed cooking for everyone, and would never let anyone leave his home without feeding them. His specialty was homemade potato soup and lemon cake. He also made divinity better than just about anyone.
John was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; Maurice Brady Boster & Anna Viola (Kennedy); John Baptist Sangrey & Mary Josephine (Courchane); father; Maurice Adair Boster ; and close friends; Ron Kiosse and Jim Wilson.
John is survived by his mother; Clara Jean Boster, his brother; Vince Lyle Boster, his wife; Juanita Fay Boster; his children; Anissa Marie (Chad), Jesse Chad, Karee Renae, Rob Darell and James Allen (Victoria); his grandchildren; Dylan Joseph, Baylee Ann, Peyton McKenzie, Ainsley Nicole, Kennedy Layne, Cole Kresston, Avery McKena, Melana Gene, Crystal Ray, and Kaila Jane, his close friend and uncle; Vernon “Roundman”, his dear cousin and friend; Steve Skaro; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
John was a wonderful husband, father, Papa, son, friend, cook and outdoorsman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
John’s family would like to thank the staff of St. Peter’s Hospital; especially Dr. Thomas, Dr. Weiner, and the entire oncology nursing staff. You all took great care of our family and we are so grateful.

Juanita, I was so sorry to here about John’s passing. Love is always there and memories live on. For heaven has no pain, tears or sadness. You now have your own precious one that will guide and watch over you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Boster family – I wish so much that I could make the service on Saturday. Please know that you have all been heavy on my mind every day and part of every prayer. I’ve been talking to dad about John; I’ve asked him to give John lots of hugs from all of the people still missing him on Earth. I envision them out in the middle of the countryside, patiently waiting for the “big bucks” and elk to roam on by..giddy with excitement as I imagine the bucks are the biggest and the best up there. And then I see both of them zonked out in their lazy chairs at the end of the day =-) just “resting their eyes.”
Mom and I love you all very much. And we will miss John tremendously.
