On January 17th John Dominic Schritz, Jr., passed away from natural causes. He was born and raised in Berea, Ohio. Following high school he attended Xavier University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and participated in the Army ROTC program. During his service with the United States Army, he spent time overseas stationed in South Korea. After completing his service with the Army, he settled in Montana and pursued postgraduate work at the University of Montana. He was an active member of the Broadwater County Rural/Townsend City Fire Departments, as well as a supportive parent during his children’s years in 4-H. He is survived by his three children Athena, Jeff, and Keith; his four grandchildren Leia, Tye, Madelyn, and Keaton; his brother Mark. He is preceded in death by his wife Joan and his parents John and Sarah. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in John’s name to the Broadwater County Volunteer Fire Department. My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of John.
May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. A scripture that has uplifted many who have experienced such a loss, is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.
