June Arlene Hettinger age 85 passed away March 10, 2015 after a brief illness with acute liver cancer.
She was born to George Robert and Estella Alverta Deardorf Gingrich on June 12, 1929 in her Grandmother Deardorf’s home at Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania. June was the second of 5 children from that union. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur W. Hettinger, sister and brother-in-law Charlotte M. and William “Bill” Glass, brother-in-law Charles Stoudt, and brother Robert L. Gingrich. She is survived by sisters Nancy L. (Rudy) Riti of Oaklyn, New Jersey, and Dorothy R. Stoudt of Strausstown, Pennsylvania.
June and Art were married on April 5, 1947 after Art returned from the Navy following WWII and they were partners for 57 years. They had two sons: Donald Arthur Hettinger and David William Hettinger. Donald and wife Christine live in the Townsend Montana area and have three children, Phillip (Jennifer) of Three Forks, MT, Drew of Townsend, MT, and Sara (Nathan) Arno of Rapelje MT. David and his wife Daronda live in Pavillion, WY. David and his first wife Cindy Wealand had a son Clint (Angie) who lives in Mollala, OR. June has 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
June worked for many years at the Harms knitting mill in Bernville, PA, and later was self employed in a cleaning business. She and her husband were active members of the Saint Thomas Church of Bernville and the Ontel Aunee Antique Auto club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and especially to Montana to visit family and to fish.
In 2012, June sold the Pennsylvania Farm where she and Art spent over 40 years, and moved to Montana to live with son Donald and family at the Townsend, Montana Hettinger Farm. This pleased her to be with family and close to her second son David and family. She was glad to have more frequent visits, treasured the family gatherings, and was happy to be able to see her first great-great grandchild.

Minnie & Carl Breininger says
Carl & I are members of the Ontelaunee Antique Car Club and know June and Art from attending the club activities. I always enjoyed talking to June. We talked a lot about health issues. I think of her often and did call her several times when living with you. She always said that you treated her so well while living with you. I am glad that she is now at peace and did not have to suffer too long. Minnie
