On Saturday, the morning of September 12, 2015, Keanu Daniel Amsk of Townsend died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, just north of Fort Benton, Montana. Keanu was 16 years old. He was born in Helena, Montana, March 3, 1999 to William “Billy” Amsk and Dana (Branstetter) Banks. He attended school in Townsend and was currently a junior at Townsend High School at the time of his death.
He loved the social part of going to school, but not so much the homework. He enjoyed his lunch social time with his buddies. Keanu loved basketball and football. Keanu liked Netflix, Xbox, the Raiders, hunting, cooking and eating, music, driving around, swimming, basketball and most of all his luscious mullet. Keanu especially loved the great outdoors. He loved being with his friends. He enjoyed shooting guns and was an avid hunter. Keanu loved the water, tubing and boating. The more friends that accompanied him the happier he was. Keanu made many friends along his journey, he loved people. Keanu was a kind and gentle young man and was loved very much.
Keanu is survived by his parents, William (Billy) Amsk and Dana Banks of Townsend; Brother Matthew and Corena Banks; Sister Brandy Banks; paternal grandmother Lindy Siefke and paternal grandfather Carl Ask; Maternal grandparents Ted and Sandra Vanover; aunts and Uncles; Vincent and Cindy Beaulieu, Jason and Jill Amsk, Bob and Christy Stoltz, John and Connie Buresh, Guy and Michelle Ask, Gary and TY Sanders, Andrea Sanders and Les Sanders and numerous cousins.
Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16th at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 212 Broadway, Townsend. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, September 17th in the Broadwater High School Gymnasium. A reception will follow the funeral service at the 4-H Building at the Fairgrounds in Townsend.

I spent time with you at the lake with the Plymale and Kynett families when I was married to Lindsey Kynett. We were lucky to meet Keanu a couple of times. I remember he brought friends out to the lake with him; they were all sweet and funny boys. They paid attention to the little kids and they were so pleasant.
