Kenneth Arthur Short, age 87, of Townsend

Kenneth Arthur Short, age 87, was the son of the late Charles & Velma (Kernan) Short of Westfield, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Joe. Ken was born on September 27, 1938, in Clymer, PA. Ken passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, with loved ones by his side.

He was a 1956 graduate from Cowanesque Valley High School in Westfield, PA, served honorably in the U.S. Army, and later became an entrepreneur in Pennsylvania and Florida. Ken is remembered for his joy of life, friendship, business acumen, and love for cars.

He is survived by a daughter, Anita (Short) Grover of North Venice, FL, and two sons, Kimberlee Short and Kevin Short, both of Tallahassee, FL. Ken was also a beloved uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, cherished by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held December 3, 2025 at Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park, FL. Ken will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
