LaRee Williams, 88, peacefully slipped away August 5, 2018. She was born May 15, 1930 in Shelley, Idaho to Lawrence & Annis Leatham, the eldest of five children.
Following graduation from Blackfoot High School she went to nurses training. In the meantime, her family moved to Montana. LaRee’s brother, Larry & her now sister-in-law, Sharley set her up to go on a blind date with Sharley’s brother, Bill. That handsome cowboy swept LaRee off her feet and they spent 60 years together.
Her nursing career included taking care of all the cuts, bumps & bruises on her 5 kids, doctoring calves, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, white mice, neighbor kids & any other strays. She spent many compassionate hours taking care of extended family as well.
Everyone was welcome in LaRee’s home. She was a top-notch cook and everyone timed their visits accordingly! Hired hands didn’t care about pay as long as they go to eat at LaRee’s table
She was a wonderful artist and she graced many with her talents. She was an avid reader, learner & historian. She loved doing genealogy and learning as much about her ancestors as she could. She was smart, strong, courageous, kind, stubborn, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
LaRee had endless faith and served her family, church and community unconditionally. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was ready to meet her Savior and be welcomed by her waiting family.
We all miss her but also celebrate her incredible life & her tender, beautiful journey home. We’re thankful she is no longer tethered to a body that didn’t keep up with her young vibrant spirit!

Avery & rest of Williams Family,
Thoughts with you today at this time of loss. LaRee was one of my favourite memories growing up in The Burg. One of the sweetest and kindest women I’ve ever known. Big hugs to you all.
Hän, joka sinulle on ollut rakas, ei koskaan
kuole sydämestäsi.
Niin kauan kuin elät,
kannat hänen sytyttämäänsä valoa sielusi joka sopessa.

LaRee will always hold a very special place in my heart. Her embrace stretched endlessly to share her love with her family as it grew.
I will always picture the beautiful smile on her face every time she listened to her talented children and grandchildren play music. She was so proud and treasured every moment.
She was such a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her grace and beauty will love on in her family.
We love you LaRee.
Don Leatham says
All my memories of Aunt LaRee evoke feelings of happiness and love. The long drives to Montana were worth it to see our Williams cousins and sample her hospitality. Her home was always full of good food, fun music, and great stories, especially about those who came before. She always had a big smile and hug for me that warmed my heart. I especially appreciated the love and support she offered to my dad Larry in his trials in life. They loved and supported each other for 86 years. A pure and true love story.
Aunt LaRee lived well, leaving a legacy that makes the world a far better place for those who loved her. She will be missed.

Dear Cousins Cathy, Dennis, Robin and Mickie,
We were saddened to hear of our cousin LaRee’s passing. It was so good to visit with her at the old school house in Radersburg on our last visit to Montana. LaRee was a beautiful woman both inside and out. She always made us feel welcome and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable when we cam to visit our Montana cousins. She will be missed~
Your California Cousins,

Thinking of you all. I always admired LaRee! She so warmly welcomed me all my life, and took me on when Dan was spending so much time in the Great Falls hospital.
What a gal! Will think of you often, Laree.

Laree is dancing with Bill as Dave sings and Jesse is prancing at their feet.
Austin says
I am sorry for your pain in this difficult time! The Bible tells us the condition of the dead and that God promises a resurrection. We also read that God wants to comfort us. I hope you find comfort from Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, John 5:28, 29, and 1 Peter 5:7.
