Lisa Lynn Young
March 24, 1958 – December 11, 2012
Lisa passed away on December 11, 2012 after a short battle with lung cancer. Lisa was born to Robert “Bob” and Marlene (Rux) Haley in White Sulphur Springs, Montana. She was the second oldest of 6 children. As a child they lived in many different places, moving often because her father worked for Bonneville Power. In February 1974 she married Dennis Nelson and together they had two children, Lana and Robert. They later divorced. A few years later she met the love of her life, Mike Young, and 4 years after meeting they were married on December 7, 1991 in White Sulphur Springs. Lisa enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, but most of all her grandchildren. Her family was everything to her and she was everything to us.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father Robert Haley, brother Robert W Haley, her grandmothers; Margaret Rux and Edna Haley and two grandfathers; Ben Rux and Alvin Haley.
Lisa is survived by her husband Mike Young of White Sulphur Springs, daughter; Lana (Andre) Prevel of Townsend, son; Robert Nelson of Boise, Idaho, her mother; Marlene Haley of Townsend, stepchildren; Tammi Rubash and Justin Young of Bagdad, Arizona, and Mandi Cantrell of Billings. Her sisters; Denise (Bill) Wedgwood of Helena and Laurie (Troy) Haley of Townsend, her brothers; Darrell (Tina) Haley of Helena and Tim Haley of Townsend. 10 grandchildren; Alex, Nolan, Paige, Brooklynn, Damion, Miranda, Jake, Evan, Cole, and Chance, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Alliance Bible Church with a coffee hour following at the Community Center in White Sulphur Springs. Arrangements by Stevenson Wilke (formerly Twichel) Funeral Home.
