Lois Marie Hunt, 64, of White Sulphur Springs, MT, passed away on July 13th, 2022, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Lois was born on October 5th, 1957, to Magnus Earl Bowen and Bessie Norene Schank in Denver, CO. After Lois graduated from high school, she went on to study early education at Northern Colorado University. While she was attending college and after graduation she worked as a preschool teacher. She especially enjoyed working with special education. Later in life she worked as an Activity Director in assisted living homes and worked as a server during her early retirement years.
She retired in the great state of Montana where she met her second husband, Carl Warren Hunt. They spent their days volunteering for the WSS Senior Center or the Meagher County Food Bank. When she wasn’t volunteering, she was enjoying the Montana country, going on hikes, camping, and sometimes fishing. She enjoyed gardening as well as collecting rocks and shells. She was an avid collector.
She was predeceased by her parents Magnus Early Bowen and Bessie Norene Schank. She is survived by her husband Carl Warren Hunt, and her two daughters: Layla Friedman and Vivica Friedman.
There will be a small family service held at Mayn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the WSS Senior Center, Meagher County Food Bank, or Mountain View Medical Center. These are organizations that she felt strongly about, and she had her end-of-life care at MVMC.
