Lois Marie, (Goodale) Owens, 95, passed away March 29, 2015 at Mountainview Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Center. Lois was born in Circle, Montana, October 11, 1919, to Frank and Marie Goodale. She married Gomer Owens October 18, 1937, in Glendive, Montana. They had enjoyed 52 years of marriage when Gomer passed away in 1990. They had three children; Jim, Mary Jane, and Frank. Other than 8 years in Wibaux they lived in White Sulphur Springs.
Lois worked many years at the local school as a secretary. She was also active in the Meagher County Republican Party and was a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing bridge and being a member of the Red Hats; always cherished time spent with her many friends. She was also an avid reader. Her main joy though was her family and at age 90 she organized and hosted an Owens family reunion with over 100 family members attending. Right up to her last day she was checking on her family members ensuring herself that everyone was okay.
In 2012 Lois became a resident of the local long term care facility where she was warmly and lovingly cared for.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gomer and son Jim and grandson Derek. She is survived by her daughter Mary Jane (Richard) Indreland and her son Frank (Leta) Owens, daughter-in-law, Martha Owens, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
