Louis William Schneider, Butch, passed away at his home on December 19,2012 of a heart attack. He was 63 years old.
Butch was born in Townsend at the Broadwater Hospital on May 30, 1949. The doctor asked if his nick name would be Butch because his granfather was a butcher and the name stuck.
Butch was a friend to many and was a man that could fix anything and did for many people. He had a great sence of humor and was fun to be around. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Esther Schneider, grandparents Louis and Amelia Green, niece Gretchen Peterson Darrington, brother-in-law Henry Peterson and best friend Barb Roberts. Butch is survived by his son Ron, grandchildren Seth and Quincey, step son Don Smith, and brother Fred Schneider, sisters Jan Peterson and Suzanne Williams.
Cremation was taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion on December 29, 2012 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers the family has set up an account at The State Bank of Townsend to assist in Butch’s end of life arrangements.
We will miss Butch more than words can convey.

Laura & Grant Nagel says
Butch was truly our best friend for many, many years. He could tell a story & make you laugh in the midst of turmoil. His house and beautifully shaded yard were like a small piece of Heaven, after a long day of work. Everywhere you look, you will find something Butch fixed, weather it be at home or in town. His talents were many, as were his circle of friends. He was a bright light to many, and his joking ways will be missed.
