Marcia Kay Hagbom died from congestive heart failure in her home at Townsend, MT on the evening of October 12, 2021. She entered peacefully into eternity surrounded by her loving family.
Marcia was born in Kalispell, MT on June 6, 1955 to parents John and Alice Christensen. She spent her childhood in Kalispell with her 6 siblings and large extended family. In her youth, she enjoyed riding her horse, skiing, skating and learning how to be a homemaker from her mother. Marcia made her choice to serve the Lord when she was 12 years old in November 1967. She never wavered from that choice the rest of her life.
She met Kevin Lorand Hagbom in the summer of ‘75 and they were married shortly after that on December 26, 1975. She moved to Kevin’s family farm near Regent, ND and settled into her duties as a farm wife. She spent the next 26 years there and devoted herself wholeheartedly to being an exceptional wife, mother and friend to all. She lovingly raised 4 children there, 2 sons and 2 daughters, and excelled at being a mother.
She loved to be a homemaker and her house and garden were filled with the fruits of her labor. Her years in ND were not always easy, but she learned to love it there and it was always home to her, even after she left it.
Marcia and Kevin moved to Kalispell, MT in 2001 and spent 10 years there where she enjoyed being near her family again. They later moved to Townsend, MT and she lived the rest of her days there with her lifelong companion, family and friends. Everywhere she lived she created a beautiful home that always welcomed all, and she was never idle, always working on something.
Marcia enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, decorating and a variety of other crafts, but her greatest joy was serving the Lord and passing on that heritage to her children and grandchildren. She lived her life for others and treasured her family. She loved all without reservation and judgment.
Kevin was her anchor and they had a strong and loving marriage, their love for each other and Christ gave her a life of contentment and peace. In her last days she had great peace and thankfulness and her many years of serving God provided her the desire to go home to her Saviour.
Marcia will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Marcus & Borghild Braaten and Martin & Christine Christensen, parents John and Alice Christensen and sister JoAnne Hills.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband Kevin Hagbom, son Bryce (Amy) Hagbom, daughter Heather (Rye) Thompson, son Barry (Kari) Hagbom, daughter Holly (Nolan) Krisher, 18 grandchildren, brother John (Ellen) Christensen, sister Karen (Joe) Nelson, brother-in-law Steve Hills, sisters Judy (Steve) Quigley, MaryAnn Christensen, and brother David (Denay) Christensen.

Dear Hagboms! I can’t even begin to tell you how many precious memories I have of my days in the Regent area from 1990-1993! Your home was such a mixture of fun times and rich fellowship! Please know you are and will be thought about SO much in the days ahead. She was surely a virtuous woman and her memory will live on, but there will be a huge human void, too. Wishing you Comfort. Sincere sympathy, Gwen Aarestad

I have followed the family through the years seeing them here and there and more lately when marcia became more frail. Julia was so good in keeping me posted. Marcia will leave a big gap in the family circle. I had time in Idaho falls and John and Ellen often mentioned the siblings and Marcia. I am remembering all of you at this time. So thankful for her faithfulness. Love, Linda in Dubai

Marsha was so warm an gracious. I felt we not only connected naturally, but spiritually. The little time I knew her she enriched my life. I liked her spirit of adventure, most of all I appreciate her deep love for God.
Penny & Delbert Lewis says
Border restrictions do not stop our thoughts and prayers coming from Canada to you Kevin and your family. Having known Marsha for over 60 years brings us great joy as we were fortunate to connect at different times. Her smile and Godly spirit radiated even during difficult times of poor health. Her dear Mother was a Mother of Israel whom we loved and Marsha professed to be the very same. As memories cannot be buried, we cherish as you all do her lifelong passion for the Truth and love for everyone she can in contact with.
