She was the youngest and the last survivor of ten siblings.
She married Boyd K. Iverson on September 8, 1942. They moved to Townsend in 1952 to the ranch where they lived until Boyd’s death in April 2010. Marion continued to live in her home until shortly before her death.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in many different callings.
Marion is survived by her children; Boyd Max Iverson, Helena; Kathleen (Ray) Toombs; Shelly (Lary) Richtmyer, of Townsend; Liann (Mark) Meyer of Helena. Grandchildren; Joseph (Lynette), Brix ( Kym), Kaj, Rei Iverson, Porsche ( Dustin) Sessions; Heidi Larson (Scott Vine), Heather McMurdie; Tiffany, Travis (Jacqui), Tory (Lindsey), Tim (Shanyn) Richtmyer; Clint (Tiffany) Meyer, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews including very special nephew and niece Lewis (Butch) and Linda Reeves of Townsend and sister-in-law Jean Frank of Tremonton, Utah.
As per Marion’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services. Rather, her ashes will be taken to Battle Creek Ranch in Meagher County and buried at the side of her husband on June 20th, 2015. At that time her family, extended families and many friends are invited to celebrate and remember the love she has shared with so many.
“When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set on me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared: Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone. It’s all part of the Master’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go.” author unknown

I have known Marion since I went to work at the sheriffs office in 1978. What a wonderful person, she trained me and was so kind to me. Every time I saw her after that always a wonderful smile and a big hug. I will miss her, but have fond memories and will keep them in my heart always. May you all keep your fond memories of her close to you also and may the Lord give you the comfort you need. Prayers to all
