Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Merna Gail Andres of Townsend, MT, left our lives early at the age of 58 due to complications of covid-19. She is dearly missed and will be forever remembered. A Service in honor of her life will be held at the Cook Mansion, 7408 US Hwy 287, Townsend, MT on Thursday, September 2, at 3 pm. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend.
Merna was born on December 13, 1962 in Croix-Chapeau, France to parents Elmer Charlie Richards and Donna Gail Meglemre. The family later moved to Billings, MT where she attended college earning an associate degree in Legal Administrative Management. During her time in Billings she met who would be the love of her life, Allen Andres. They got married on June 27, 1998 and began growing their family. The happy couple later moved to Townsend, MT where they continued their family. Merna took a job with the State of Montana as a Property Valuation Specialist in the Department of Revenue.
Merna was a wife and mother first. The love she had for her family was second to none. She enjoyed camping with her family, sewing, diy projects, and later in life, time spent with her grandchildren. The life that she created amongst us as the matriarch of our family has left a hole within our hearts. But she will continue to be loved and missed by everyone.
Merna is survived by her husband of 23 wonderful years, Allen Andres; mother, Donna Richards; children, Logan (Hailey) Bitter, Angel (Ken) Morse, Lori Bitter, Tonia (Mike) Reese, Timothy Andres, Lori Meyers; sisters, Grace Shelby, Vicky Gordon, Marie Laveque; grandchildren, Seth, Lola, Chloe, Kaydn, Collin, Jackson, Adelyn, Nevaeh, Vivienne, Auriana, Keanv, Mathew, and Jazzlynn.
