Neva L. Johnston
Neva was born July 1, 1925 to Phil and Neva Ward Armour in Helena, MT.
Neva attended the University of Montana prior to marrying James M Johnston on February 26, 1944. Neva and Jim raised a family of five children on the ranch at Butte Creek. Neva returned to the University, after raising her family, to complete her education with a Bachelors Degree in teaching. She taught in the White Sulphur Springs School from 1972 until retiring in 1993.
Neva was proceeded in death by husband James M. Sr., son James M. Jr., and grandson Luke S. Johnston. She is survived by daughter-in-law Brenda Johnston, sons Rick and Lewis Johnston, daughters Carlin Cameron and Maggie Buckingham. Neva is also survived by numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15th at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 103 E. Garfield Street, White Sulphur Springs. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16th at The Yoked Parish of First Presbyterian and American Lutheran Churches, 704 2nd Ave SE, White Sulphur Springs. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Mayn Cemetery. A reception will be in the social center of the church immediately following the burial.
