Lee attended school in White Sulphur Springs. He would spend his time in the mountains and on the rivers with his grandfather hunting, fishing, and gathering cones to sell. At age 17, Lee entered into the United States Navy. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged.
On March 10, 1962, Lee was united in marriage to Connie Lewis. Together they were blessed with 2 children: Rick and Vicki, joined by brother Randy.

Lee and Connie were proprietors of the Frontier Club in Three Forks, the Beaumont in Belgrade, and The Barber Shop and JA Beauty Supply in Bozeman. On their last adventure they owned and operated the Lane Bar in White Sulphur Springs. This is where Lee was able to offer his guidance and humor whether it was welcomed or not.
Lee will be remembered for the lives he influenced, the advice he offered, and the ability to fix anything for all of his family and friends.

Connie and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Lee’s sudden death. He was always such a kind and jovial person. He always put up with crazy kids and never had a cross word for any of us. As for me, I remember him with much affection.
