Robert E. ‘Bob’ Bagley, age 74, of Townsend

Robert E. ‘Bob’ Bagley, age 74, of Townsend, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016.

Bob was born August 4, 1941 in Albany, Oregon to Beryl G. and Alice E. (Brown) Bagley. He served honorably in the United States Army Airborne. After his honorable discharge, Bob attended Oregon State University for a year before going to work as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a welder, and working County Facility Maintenance.

Bob considered Townsend, MT his hometown for many years. He was a Life Member of the NRA Endowment, Life Member of Handyman of America Club also serving on the Advisory Council, and he was a Life Member of the North American Hunting and Fishing Club.

Bob loved Montana for the fishing, hunting, horseback riding and gardening. He was an avid firearms collector and loved doing carpentry work.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Jim Bagley of Townsend, MT and Jerry Bagley of Sutter Creek, CA; 5 nieces; 4 great nieces; and 4 great nephews.

A Viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home in Townsend. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Alliance Bible Church, 110 E St. in Townsend. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Harrison.
