Dear Alice, Diane, David, “the girls”…and now the girls-girls and boys,
Sympathies from the Smiths on Ron’s passing. Joining you in sadness at his passing, with fond memories of a heck of a fellow.
I have never met someone so interested and practically knowledgeable in so may things. A kind fellow and a life filled with interesting stuff.
His legacy to me is to be interested in heaps of things, try your hand at many, and be of helpful, modest, and informed disposition.
And he set the universal benchmark for an annual woodpile. Look on Google street view images at the house from the street and there he is. Coffee cup in hand, nice sunny day across the valley, taking a break, standing tall by the wood stack.
Shona and Rachel and I, and all the Smiths sending our love and sympathies.

I know this is very late; I am sorry for your loss; I just found Ronnies Obituary. I believe I remember you from my childhood in that wonderful 1893 house on 5th Avenue in Lewistown. I also recognized your picture of the class reunion this year. I came back home to spent time with my parents in their golden years; Mom (Marie) passed Aug 31, 2015 and Dad (Richard) Jul 12, 2019. I am now trying to restore some of the character in your previous home with the help of a few old pictures. I remember your sweet family from back then. Hope all is well. Al Langford
