He was very special to me. I knew him from the time I was 6 years old and he was my buddy. He had a wonderful way with children.and adults alike. My mother had a cat she called Funny Face when I was very small. Ronald and I talked about that cat and he teased me that I too had a funny face. And his nickname for me became Face, short for Funny Face.
I always regard nicknames as the names we love people by. He loved me by Face. I adored him.

Ron was a very nice man. My father, Jim, worked with him at Grover’s from the time I was a sixth grader through high school. Ron was a dedicated employee and hard worker, setting an example for me as did Dad. Ron also was a good bowler … I kept score at the Legion Bowling alley where Ron, along with his brother Norm, bowled for the Grover Motors team and in tournaments.
Just a darn nice and hard working man who set the standards for us kids of the 60’s to observe.
My condolences to the family.
