In Memory Of

Rosalee “Rose” Duez, age 71, of Townsend

March 1, 1947 – April 7, 2018

On the morning of April 7, 2018, Rosalee “Rose” Duez, age 71, of Townsend, passed away after a year-long battle with cancer at St. Peters Hospital in Helena comforted by her family.

Rose was born in Tacoma, Washington on March 1, 1947 to parents Reuben (Slim) Meckle and Maxine (Hodney) Tarabochia.

Rose enjoyed travelling throughout her life and visiting new places. She moved to Nevada in 1982, where she met the love of her life Mench. They enjoyed spending time together and both loved going out for a “putt” on the Harley. In 2010, they moved back to Montana to enjoy retirement. She liked to spend her time reading, doing crafts, riding their motorcycle, shooting pool, throwing darts, woodworking, and playing video games. She also loved spending time with her grand-children, great-grandchildren, and, of course, feeding the birds!

Rose is survived by her spouse, Robert (Mench) Haskin of Townsend, MT; Daughter Bernadette and her husband Bernard Duez of Bradenton, FL; Daughter Tinna Sellie of Tucson, AZ; Son Glen Richter and his wife Casey, of Las Vegas, NV; Brother Russell Meckle and wife Tami of Bismarck, ND; 8 Grandchildren – Joseph, Kyrie, Misty, Brandi, Brianna, Courtney, Chris and Brandon; 15 Great Grandchildren – Lillian, Jaxon, Liam, Kara, Austin, Autumn, Addison, Jashawn, Luckus, Blake, Kyreigh, Samaria, Kiera, Hailey and Lily; and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents Maxine and Reuben, Sisters Bonnie, Patricia and Julie, and Grandson Roy.

Memorials in honor of Rose are suggested to Robert Haskin, P.O. Box 216, Townsend, MT 59644. Please visit below to offer the family a condolence or to share a memory of Rose.
