Ruth passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, MT on August 12th. She was 79 years old.
Ruth was born May 25, 1934 in White Sulphur Springs, MT to Ann and Roy Matthew. She married James Edward (Ed) Teller on June 9, 1951 in White Sulphur Springs. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2006.
Ruth worked various jobs while living in White Sulphur Springs: She cooked at the Rainbow Café for many years and later was a clerk at Peterson’s Hardware. She finished her career working for Dr. Alice Stoddard as a dental assistant.
She enjoyed league bowling for the T&T Trucking team for 18 years. She was also very talented at knitting and crocheting.
Surviving Ruth are her daughters, Debbie (Clint) Tew of Townsend, Sandi (John) Clay of East Helena, MT and Kim (Chuck) Lipes of Helena, MT; brothers, Gary Hubenthal of White Sulphur Springs and Richard (Art) Wirth of Butte, MT; 5 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her sister, Francis Skerritt; her brother, Larry (Bumpy) Hubenthal, and her step-father Charlie Hubenthal.
Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 212 Broadway, Townsend, MT and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 103 Garfield, White Sulphur Springs, MT. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 at the American Lutheran Church in White Sulphur Springs with a graveside service to follow the funeral service at Mayn Cemetery. A reception will be at the senior center following the graveside service. Memorials in Ruth’s name are suggested to an organization of the donor’s choice.
