Shirley owned and operated the Lane Bar in White Sulphur Springs for many years. Shirley loved to garden and her incredibly beautiful house plants reflected her green thumb. She had a great sense of humor and very clever mind. She was an avid reader and did the crossword puzzle daily. She and Bud lived on Newlan Lake Reservoir and there they spent many hours fishing, both summer and winter. She especially liked ice fishing from their ice hut and spending time with Bud. She looked forward to watching bull-riding on T.V. Her kids claimed their calls were not received during that time. She enjoyed watching and feeding the wildlife and birds in her yard. The other love of her life, besides Bud and her boys, was her sassy little pet cockatiel, Bucky.
Shirley will be forever missed and always in our hearts.

Shirley will be missed by all who knew her. She was a great friend and I am sad for her passing but glad that she is now in a far better place. My condolences to all the Wicks family and Bud also.
Jean and Sylvia Stanley says
Jean and I will greatly miss our friend Shirley and all the great times we had in the trailer park with her and Bud. I will miss walking with her to see the flowers and checking out the garden, or just sitting out on the deck visiting and watching the birds go in and out of the feeders and birdhouses. Our deepest sympathy to our friend Bud, as well as Shirley’s family. We never met most of you, but Shirley talked of you often.
