On February 4, 2013, Shirley Joyce Heaton, age 66, passed away at her home in Townsend. Mrs. Heaton was born to William Charles and Imogene Marie (Schalow) Ringle in Ann Arbor, Michigan on August 16, 1946.
After attending school, she met and married the love of her life, Roland Harold Heaton on February 5, 1977 in Los Angeles, California. Shirley worked for many years for the Cooney Convalescent Home, the Hampton Inn, and Super 8 has a housekeeper in Helena before retiring. After her retirement, Shirley enjoyed many activities. She was fond of cooking and searching for recipes in cookbooks, reading a good novel, focused on word searches, watching movies, and spending time with children. She always looked forward in occupying her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going on trips, camping, and having a good chat over a cup of coffee. Shirley was always fondly remembered for opening her home and heart to those in need.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roland H. Heaton (Townsend); children, William and Stephanie Heaton, Gena Heaton, (Helena), Carl Schalow (Michigan); sisters, Elizabeth Ringle (Helena), Donna Ball (Converse, Texas); grandchildren: Alisha Schalow (Helena), Rebecca Herrick (Great Falls), Tori Heaton, Emily Heaton, Jamie Heaton, Miah Heaton, Cyril Blyseth, Devynn Blyseth, Lindsay Blyseth (All of Helena), D.J. Fettig (Grand Junction, Colorado), Daneille Schalow (Michigan), Carl Schalow Jr. (Illinois); great-grandchildren: Malachi Schalow (Illinois), Charolette Herrick (Great Falls), Maliki Schalow (Helena, Montana), Raevynn Schalow (Illinois); and many other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Schalow; father, William Ringle; daughter, Joyce Ringle; brothers, Frank Ringle, Charles Ringle; sisters, Margaret Boznango, Emogene Boyles.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled at 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Townsend.
