Stan was my uncle. Some of the fond memories I have of him are his warm and inviting smile. He loved fishing and he made the best fried fish in the campfire! I remember him ice fishing when my parents lived at Georgetown Lake. He had his sled with all his fishing gear to pull back and forth. Of course I watched from the house because it was way too cold for me!!
He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed!

We have known Stan and Mary for many years and were neighbors when we all lived in Missoula. We have many good memories of camping with them when we were camp hosts at Canyon Ferry. We also played cards and cherish our friendships. When we lived in Missoula one day Bob made a pie and took it over th them. Stan was asleep in his chair and Mary was gone. Bob set the pie in Stan’s lap and left. When Mary came home Stan said “thanks for the pie Mare” she said “what pie?” We got a good laugh out of that. Our prayers go out to all the family. God bless you in your loss.

Stan was our uncle, we have so many great memories of Stan. He loved to go fishing and go hunting. We loved to go and stay at the Silo’s camp ground and visit with Stan & Mary he would go fishing and we would play on the jet ski’s. Then he would also cook dinner cause he had to make his favorite which was fried fish, we will miss him dearly. The boys would always call him uncle Stan pants. We will miss him so much, Mary you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Stan will be fondly missed, but not forgotten. My mother (Grace Holtzapple), step-father (Art Miller) and I often discussed our trip to Montana a few years ago. Aunt Mary and Stan really made the visit unforgettable. I pray for Mary and the rest of the family.

Dear Mary…I am sad of heart to learn Stan passed away. Memories and the many years
you had together will give you comfort. When he visited in City Hall, he was full of good humor. He gave me a bad time–redheads usually get that. I have never forgotten you two.

Stan, when we meet again, you’ll surely know that I’m that third guy from the left. And if God’s big terraforming rigs need tire work, there’s no doubt who He’ll call to get ‘er done right.
Jeanette Copeland says
So sorry for your loss, Mary. Hold all your good memories and the years you shared together close to your heart.

Hi Mary, Chris, Jerry and Ray,
I have known Stan about 6 years as a neighbor and friend. Mentally and physically, Stan was a tough person. He had a fun loving, and upbeat personality. He enjoyed people and could tell a great story. I notice a lot of people in the neighborhood repeat “Stan sayings”. He had a beautiful voice he could have used as an announcer or auctioneer. He painted the whole outside of his house when he was 82. Mary said she married him because he could make her laugh. He will be missed. May God bless and comfort his whole family. Diane Arnold
