In Memory Of

Teagan Lee Martin, age 18, of Townsend

September 12, 2006 – June 9, 2025

Teagan Lee Martin
September 12, 2006 – June 9, 2025

With broken hearts, we share that Teagan Lee Martin passed away far too soon on June 9, 2025, in Helena, Montana. He was 18 years old.

Teagan was born on September 12, 2006, in Helena and raised in Townsend, Montana, where he grew up surrounded by the love of his parents, Nichol and Lee, his four younger brothers—Bradan, Payton, Dracen, and Kieran—and his little sister, Bentlee, who absolutely adored him.

Teagan was goofy, awkward, quiet, and completely lovable. Even as a toddler, he had a unique sense of humor—known to bang his head against the wall just to make himself (and everyone else) laugh. That same playful spirit stayed with him as he got older. He was the kind of kid who would drive with his seat so far back he could barely see over the steering wheel—and didn’t care one bit.

He was a thinker—often deep in his own head—but always self-aware and kind. Teagan idolized his dad and worked hard to follow his example. His strong work ethic came from watching how hard his father worked to take care of their family—something Teagan dreamed of doing himself one day. His love of trucks was another passion passed down from his dad. He didn’t just like them—he named his own truck Stitches because he was always piecing it back together.

Teagan was stubborn, hardheaded, and a little bit of a pain in the ass—but he had a heart that was too big for his body. Even when he was mad, he usually had a grin on his face—it just came with a clenched jaw. He never put tools back where they belonged, and his dad always knew when Teagan had been around by the trail of “crap” left behind. Still, you couldn’t help but love him for it.

He was the “whitest gangster” his brothers knew—bad at things but always doing them anyway, saying “homie” like it was going out of style, and dancing terribly to his music just to make his sister laugh. He had a funny laugh himself—so contagious that Kieran said it always made him laugh too.

Teagan loved his family more than anything. His brother Bradan saw how hard he worked just to make people happy. Payton admired how he didn’t take himself too seriously. Dracen thought he was just plain cool. Kieran remembers him as a kind and protective big brother. And Bentlee—who missed him so much when he moved out she’d try to skip school and leave notes in his room—will always remember his silly dancing and how he made her feel special.

Teagan had dreams—big ones. Of love, of hard work, of loud trucks and quiet moments with the people who mattered most. His life was short, but his impact was enormous. He will be remembered for his humor, his stubborn streak, his goofy spirit, and the deep love he gave so effortlessly.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11am at Trailhead Christian Fellowship Church, 20 Trailhead View Drive, Townsend, MT 59644. A reception will be held at the church following the conclusion of the memorial service. Condolences in memory of Teagan can be shared at www.stevensonwilke.com.

Teagan was the kind of soul who wore a grin through it all—heartbreak, heavy days, and even the quiet in-between moments. Whether he was wrestling with his own battles or just chatting about life, he carried a light that warmed everyone around him. His hugs felt like home—genuine and safe.

Every time he saw me, he’d rev Stitches’ engine with that familiar grin, knowing it would lift my spirit. That sound became our little r secret handshake, a joyful noise that never failed to make me smile. I can still hear it now—echoing in my heart.

He was often in my prayers. I found myself checking in on him, sometimes through a quick call , other times with a simple text—just to let him know I cared. I carried him quietly in my thoughts, always hoping he was doing okay.

To his younger siblings Bradan, Payton, Draven, Kieran, and sweet Bentley, and to his loving parents Nichol and Lee, my heart aches for you. I can only imagine the depth of your pain. Please know your boy was cherished by many. His kindness, his warmth, and that unforgettable smile left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.

May you find comfort in the memories, the laughter, and the love he so freely gave. Your Teagan will never be forgotten.

Teagan had the best manners and he easily talked with adults. His knowledge of trucks was impressive! I never knew someone to down a gallon of milk like he could! We are so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. His life mattered, his impact was huge, he will be missed.

Teagan Lee Martin. Where do I even start? He was so good. Undeniably so. Even when times were tough, and he had every reason to lash out, to lose it, to just give up. He never did.

Which brings me to my next point. He was determined. One of the most driven people I know, and that’s saying something. He had huge dreams: to be successful, to start a family of his own. And he worked for these outcomes every single day.

If you needed him, he’d be there in five. He’d go to the ends of the earth for the people he loved. That’s just who he was.
He was supportive. I know when I was at my lowest, he would always be right there. Even if he didn’t know a whole lot about what you were doing, you bet he’d cheer you on nonetheless. Driving into town to watch a school play, just to watch his cousin perform. Spending hours at football and baseball games to be there for his brothers.

He was goofy. There’s not many boys you find belting out the lyrics to a Pitch Perfect song or reciting Jim Carey’s The Grinch word for word. But he did. I remember one night at the house when a toothpick battle broke out. You heard me right, I said a toothpick battle. The boys were shooting toothpicks from dinner across the couch at each other. He could often be found driving the backroads of town just for the joy it brought him. He knew every song on 107.3 and could down a Mountain Dew faster than you could say, “slow down kid!”.

When he loved, he loved with his whole heart. He cared for so many people. His family first and foremost. Nichol and Lee, he admired you so much. He often worried that he wouldn’t live up to be as strong as his father or as kind as his mother. But every time that you were there for him, he knew of your love for him, and his for you. Bradan, Payton, Dracen, Keiran, and Bentley. If he needed to cheer you up, dry your tears, or fight a first grader, he would’ve done it for you kids. He would’ve burned the world for you. He gave his love so freely and without regrets. Whether it was his family, friends, coaches, teammates, or anyone he’d shared a laugh or a smile with. He touched so many lives, and I’m so grateful that mine was one of them.

So I guess my point is, there are so many bits and pieces that made up the joy that was Teagan Lee Martin. Determined, supportive, goofy, loving, and above all a good person and a great man. Every memory of love, laughter, and light will forever live on in my and everyone who’s lives he touched’s minds. So thank you, Teagan. For everything.

Teagan was one of those irreplaceable people, for the rest of my life I will remember our dirtbike rides in Helena national forest, sitting by the fire at the lake, and just driving our trucks around together. He will be missed greatly by so many people. I am so sorry for your loss, he will live on in all of us.

Teagan was the type of person that just made you smile from the first moment you saw him. I loved when I would go see him and be able to talk to him. Teagan and I have so many memories from a few years ago that can never be replaced. His personality was so amazing, the type that made people want to have fun and smile. Teagan had a way of listening and bringing out the best in people, no matter what they were going through. I will always cherish the funny Instagram videos he would send me, all of our deep late night conversations, his jokes, his dancing, and his smile, and so so much more. I am so sorry for the family’s loss, and I will miss Teagan so terribly much.
