Tyler James Wensel, 21, from Winston, Montana, was called home to be with his heavenly father on January 28, 2019.
Tyler was born in the town of Fairfield, in Solano County, California on July 7, 1997. He was the middle child, and the second son, of Sheldon Lee and Susan Irene Wensel.
Tyler and his family moved to Montana in June 2007 and quickly embraced the quality of life and great communities of Broadwater County.
Tyler graduated Broadwater High School in 2015. Shortly before graduating, he became employed at Town Pump for a little over three years. He enjoyed getting to know all of his customers during his employment. In May 2018, he joined the crew at Mergenthaler Transfer and Storage in Helena, Montana where he has been working until his passing.
Tyler enjoyed outdoor activities which included going to the beach, driving through the mountains, skiing and target shooting with the family. Tyler also enjoyed indoor activities such as video games, bowling and opening geodes with his niece, Scarlett.
Tyler James was preceded in death by his Grandpa Wensel and Grandpa Norton. He is survived by: his parents, Sheldon and Susan; siblings, Jacob and Trinity; his niece, Scarlett; Grandma Wensel and Grandma Norton, and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins.
The Wensel family would like to thank the first responders, EMT’s, Sheriff’s Department, and wonderful members of the community including, the Big Bull Bar and Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home for all of the amazing support received during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 916 Broadway Street, in Townsend. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tyler Wensel’s Go-Fund-Me page.
