Valerio was a hard worker who knew how to raise sheep. While I was secretary of the Woolgrowers association I was privileged to meet Valerio. I
Enjoyed visiting with him at convention and ram sale
My sympathies to his wife and family. A good man.
Paul Stahl says
Valerio worked for and with my family on the Snowcrest Ranch for close to 20 years – a generation. He was kind and gentle and decent. My family loved and respected him. My Dad thought him to be the very best “sheepherder” in Montana; (In my family, the term “sheepherder” is the highest respect.)
Valerio was the man in charge, so when he left to go to work for the Bair Ranch, it left a huge hole never filled.
My condolences to his family and his friends.
John Helle says
Valerio was one of the best sheep men I knew. While at the Snowcrest Ranch we saw each other on the road many times as I was camp tending for our ranch. We had many roadside chats discussing what ranchers do… weather and predators. The soccer matches in the sheep corral were good memories when our ranch challenged theirs. I will always have fond memories of Valerio. My condolences to the family. John Helle
