Vanessa Hegg passed away at her home in Townsend, Montana on Monday, July 30 with complications from bronchitis.
Vanessa was born in Havre, Montana on July 6, 1959 to Jim and Pat Anderson. She grew up in Billings graduating from Senior High.
Vanessa pursued a career in nursing starting as an LPN and later as an RN. She practiced a variety of nursing disciplines with many years in senior healthcare and case management. Vanessa, and former husband Michael Hegg, had two children: Logan and Sophie. She was always there for them with a listening ear, as their biggest supporter, encouraging all of their dreams, and loving them beyond any limits.
Vanessa relished adventures in the mountains, cooking great food and sharing it with friends and family, soaking in hot springs around Montana and anything with her kids. Vanessa also enjoyed reading, knitting, crafts of all kinds, and laughter.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, Jim Anderson.
She is survived by her children Sophie Hegg of Butte and Logan Hegg of Townsend, mother Pat Anderson of Billings, sisters Pam (Fred) Garland of Anacortes, WA, and Nicky (Sheldon) Wolf of Billings, and brothers Craig (Deb) Anderson of Glendive, and Scott (Connie) Anderson of San Jose, six nieces and nephews, stepdaughter Margie Hegg, and dear friend Deb Martin Young and family of Butte.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at the Trailhead Fellowship Christian Church in Townsend on Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in support of Sophie and Logan to the Vanessa Hegg Memorial Account at State Bank of Townsend, 400 Broadway, Townsend MT 59644.
