Vernon E. Boster “Roundman” passed away on September 18, 2018 at the age of 75, surrounded by family.
Vernon E Boster was born in Townsend, Montana on October 5, 1942. He was the youngest of nine children born to Maurice and Anna Boster.
In 1963, Vernon E. Boster married Marlene Schmitz spending 25 years together and having 3 children. Theresa Toccafondo, Jeff Boster and Brad Boster. After a long career, Vernon retired from American Chemet and proudly owned his own business “Vern’s Scrapmetal”.
“Roundman” loved hunting and fishing with his boys, Jeff and Brad. Roundman was proud to be a junkman which he shared the love for with his sons and grandsons. Always looking for scrap metal, always looking for batteries.
He is survived by his sister, Mickey. His children; Theresa Toccafondo, Jeff and Carie Boster, Brad and Angie Boster. His grandchildren; Maria Toccafondo, Ashley Young, Cameron Kyle and Taylor Boster, Chance and Cody Boster and his great grandchildren Bane Brown, Emerald Miller and AJ Boster.
Vernon was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He always had a special place in his heart for the people he met and loved. His heart was big and he was always first in the line to be a helping hand. Vernon’s door was always open.
A memorial service celebrating Vernon’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29th at Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home 212 Broadway in Townsend. A reception and a time for food, stories and love to be shared, will follow the service at The Betsy, 217 Broadway in Townsend. Private family graveside services will take place at a later date; Vernon will be laid to rest at Deep Creek Cemetery.
