Walter William Leedle (Hairy)
Hairy was Born December 5, 1959 In Lake Geneva, WI. Hairy Passed peacefully surrounded by family on April 11,2023 at St. Peter’s hospital in Helena, Montana.
He is the son of Walter J. Leedle and Edith D. Leedle.
Walter worked on the family dairy farm in Lake Geneva, WI until he moved to Townsend, MT. He worked for R. Y. Timber, Inc. Townsend, MT for 23 years Operating a Wagner Log Loader, Mechanic, and Wood splitter.
Walter was also on the Linn Fire Department in Linn Township, Lake Geneva, WI and the Townsend Fire Department and Broadwater County Fire Department Townsend, MT.
Hairy enjoyed wood working, making tables and chairs for family and friends. If you needed a pig roast? Hairy was the man to call. He enjoyed spending time with friends in town.
Hairy was so proud of his son, Harley Immenschuh from Missoula, MT. Watching him play sports in High School, serving in the Military, and currently working as an electrician.
Surviving him is his brother, Timothy Leedle, Clinton, WI and family: Wife Liz, son, Anthony, daughter, Lily; his sister, Juliana Leedle, Calf., her family: son, Jeff Daane,and his wife Cydney, and their children: Isabella, Olivia, Emmanuel and Johnny; Daughter: Holly Field and children: Oliver and Maddock
He was preceded in death: his loving mother: Edith Leedle; uncles: George Leedle, Kenneth Leedle, George Schmidt; aunts: Dorothy Betts, Caroline Campbell; grandparents: Lester & Laura Leedle, Walter & Bertha Schmidt.
A Memorial Service will be held at Trailhead Christian Fellowship, 20 Trailhead View Drive, Townsend, MT 59644, on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Heart Association-Cardiology Stroke Association.
